The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) strives to provide excellence in its service to Veterans and their families. Keenan Development is helping the Department advance their mission as it successfully developed and financed a new 110,000-square-foot Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Regional Headquarters. This building is the third headquarters facility constructed for the VA by Keenan Development.
Located in Columbia, S.C., the VBA building will be located on the campus of the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center, enhancing convenience, efficiency and stewardship for those served by the VA.

The building’s design and quality embrace the Georgian architecture and related site elements of the medical center’s campus. The three-story VBA building blends harmoniously with the surrounding structures.
The building’s interior design reflects Keenan Development's understanding of the VA's needs and preferences.  This insight was derived through previous successful developments with the VA in Atlanta and Milwaukee. Natural lighting fills the lobby and many of the workstations throughout the building.  Offices are strategically placed to most effectively oversee business groups, while support functions are centrally located to enhance accessibility as well as preserve natural lighting in open areas. |
